Well they haven't divied up the NYC condo, the Bel Air manse, and their home in Tacoma Washington. We can only hope that Nick and Jessica may soon be reunited. Kate Gosselin speaks out to People magazine about the divorce of the year. The shocker came on Monday's Jon and Kate +8 episode, where the pair revealed that a divorce was looming and would be documented by the show. Kate told People:

"On a good day, I feel relief. On a bad day, I feel failure."

But certain people in the media are intent that she feel more than just failure. Kate, who has been accused of bad parenting, exploitation of her children, abuse, greed, lurid affairs with her bodyguard, and other general diva-dom, is being pointed at by The View, co-host, Elizabeth Hasselbeck. Hasselbeck said Wednesday on The View:

Conrad left the show and during the reunion special made it clear that there would more than likely get no cameos. Replacing Conrad is Cavallari, who rose to fame as LC's nemesis on MTV's Laguna Beach. Cavallari has already sparked some Hate speech from Hill's resident whine-o, Stephanie Pratt:

I was pretty terrible [low, wry laugh]. I went out quietly, on my own, and I swam a couple of miles. I didn't quite know what to expect because this is the longest time I've ever been out the pool – but I was not very good. Just not very good at all. But I'm happy I'm getting back in the water and starting to make my way back to where I need to go. Like you said, it'll just be very good to get back to some kind of ordinary routine. I've always been big on finding a rhythm to my life, which is what training gives you, and I'm looking forward to that and starting to make the run for the next four years.

Spencer and Heidi may be the most hated couple in the recent invention of reality TV. Style magazine W claimed the real-life couple was in talks to open a place called The Hill in the Big Apple's Murray Hill district, but Pratt insists the rumours are false.

However, a source of mine says that we should be watching for an announcement from MTV about a "Green Acres" remake. Green Acres was a show that ran in the 60's with a theme about a city couple taken to the country and how they often comedically, adapted to their new life. Zsa Zsa Gabor headlined the show. So basically the show would be a Heidi and Spencer version of 'The Simple Life.' Heidi and Spencer reputedly are in love with all things 1960s, as evidenced by their apartment which was featured in US Weekly with that whacked out recycled 1960's television-turned-fishbowl. According to the San Jose Mercury News, Gay inmates in state prisons and county jails will soon be able to marry their partners, as long as their spouse is not also incarcerated, prison and jail operators said Thursday.

State prison and county jail overseers were putting finishing touches on the new policy to follow the state Supreme Court ruling in May legalizing gay marriage.

Gay inmates would have the same marriage rights as their straight counterparts, a Department of Corrections spokeswoman said.

"Inmates can marry noninmates; there is no requirements based on gender, as long as they're outside the prison walls," Michele Kane said. "But we're not changing our inmate-to-inmate policy. ... Safety and security, those are the top priorities right now." Read More...

Jennifer Lopez will be due a breakup before her latest film, El Cantante, translated, 'The Singer,' hits video stores. Her husband, Marc Anthony, plays her husband, Marc Anthony. Sound familiar? Of course. Recall failed boxoffice scum Gigli, which starred her then-fiance, Ben Afflek. Interestingly enough, J.Lo. must sense the impending doom, sparking her to defend the film amongst critics.

" I don’t know what movie they want to see, because this is the truth.”

Fans and critics alike are blasting the film, and even people who knew the main character in life are getting in on the action. According to MSNBC even Lavoe’s former bandleader, partner and producer Willie Colon, who also served as a consultant on the film headed online to express his disappointment.

“The creators of ‘El Cantante’ missed an opportunity to do something of relevance for our community,” Colón wrote in a Yahoo.com forum. “The real story was about Hector fighting the obstacles of a nonsupportive industry that took advantage of entertainers with his charisma and talent. Instead they did another movie about two Puerto Rican junkies… It’s difficult to comprehend how two individuals who are in the music business like Marc and Jennifer are not aware of the damage and the consequences of promoting only the negative side of our Latin music culture.”

The Charmflakes analysis? Why only blast a film like El Cantante? After all, droves of people turned out for the Transformers film, starring Shia Leboeuf. If that film doesn't cause humanity to question where we're going entertainment wise, then why fight a biopic as unrelated to the sequence of human events as El Cantante.

Courtney Love Accepts Apology

Lily Allen, that precocious girl-rocker from England, made disparaging remarks about Love on her myspace about a week ago. She said on her blog about Love:

"I am not bfs (best friends with) C (Courtney) Love, one night with her made me realise why Kurt (Cobain) killed himself. I nearly checked into rehab."

Allen, who in her apology claimed that hackers had hacked her myspace, says she feels sorry for the entire situation. Love wouldn't go out of the game crying silently. Here's her rebuttal blog:

"Thanks to Lily Allen for her lovely apologising for having had her MySpace broken into. "I wouldn't pick on me if I was Miss Lily, as it wouldn't take too much to swat, but we've known each other far too long, like each other far too much and if she was gonna say something nasty she has the acerbic wit and intelligence to say something cutting, that would actually really hurt, not some cliched hoary old chestnut some obsessed blogger would say. While Heidi and Spencer will receive no blatant airtime on this site, Lauren remains one of our favorite girls, a positive role model in the midst of a storm. Rumors are now circulating that Lauren and Jason may be reunited in either a trial relationship or a desperate publicity stunt by MTV producers to keep their star of the show in the spotlight as the 'it' girl. It remains to be seen, but the new season of the Hills continues this Fall on MTV. We reported earlier in the day that Sarah Jessica Parker had called the Valentino 45th anniversary Celebration ''The Most Glamorous Fashion Show ever." While here at CharmFlakes, we maintain that every fashion show is a glamorous affair, we couldn't help but be bowled over by the emerging details from Rome of the glorious event. Friday Night brought together the most famous of the famed for a dinner in honor of Valentino, 300 people dining alfresco. The site was the ruins of Venus' Temple, in Old Rome, which had been reconstructed carefully to embody old Roman Times by renowned set designer, Dante Ferretti. He carefully added lighting rivaling that of the Parthenon in Athens, and created a mood that was La Dolce Vita to say the least.

As an obligingly picturesque lemon-slice moon rose across the inky sky, the columns gave off a ghostly glow. Leaving your visible mark on Twenty-First and Twentieth Century fahsions isn't easy, and after all, Valentino had plenty of company, Saint Laurent, Tom Ford, Chanel, Lagerfeld, Dior, Balenciaga; they all left their marks. Valentino was being honored in Rome this weekend, with the guest list at the lavish parties reading like a who's who of style-setters. Claudia Schiffer, Joan Collins, Royalty, Anna Wintour, and Sarah Jessica Parker all set in on the show, which was held in historic Roman Venues all weekend. The celebration fueled rumors that Valentino would be retiring, since the Ateliers usually on celebrate fiftieth anniversaries instead of the peculiar 45 one. Valentino maintains that he is not set to retire, but Permira, an italian investment fund bought out a majority stake in the stocks at the fashion house, which may lead to Valentino being booted to Creative Director. Nevertheless, the show was dazzling in it's immediacy and details, and led Sarah Jessica Parker to call it, "the most glamorous fashion show of all time."

Kelly Clarkson's new album isn't that bad, I've listened and I have to say, it really is less annoying than her first singles. Kelly's found herself in a swirl of media spotlight lately, with news that she fired her manager, canceled her summer tour, and rumors of the head of her label paying her off to not include her own ballads on her new album, My December. It wouldn't be so interesting if we weren't aware of just how much weight Kelly's gained in leu of her admittance to being Bulemic in sixth grade some weeks ago in People Magazine. We here at CharmFlakes support Kelly, and hope that in a few months, she'll come back with a new look and better outlook on life. Until then, we have to suffer with rumors of a mental breakdown, pressure too hard to bear from her label, and weight spiraling out of control. Megan Fox Doesn't Do Drugs, (but her friends do)...

Megan Fox, the beautiful girl du jour from The Transformers film, is being quoted by sexy magazine Maxim as saying that she doesn't do drugs. But She says most everyone is Hollywood is on something.

I've done drugs, and that's how I know I don't like them. I wanted to try several things and make an informed decision, but I didn't enjoy anything other than marijuana. I don't even think of it as a drug--it should be legalized.

Miss Fox goes on to say that Celebrities aren't trying to hide the blatantly unhealthy behaviour except when fans have cameraphones handy. It must suck to be an addict in Hollywood and have to go to Promises everytime you get caught on a Razr phone with a razor and cocaine. Megan also adds in the interview to Maxim that "Cocaine is back with a vengeance."Fox also said that marijuana was the only drug she liked, saying "I don't think of it as a drug, it should be legalized." Yes miss Fox. We're gonna legalize just because you said so ten minutes into your career. And Since Shia wasn't mentioned as one of her friends not on drugs, I think it's safe for us to now assume fully that mary-jo-wanna is why he always has that sheepish grin on his face. May also explain that weave she recycles from Courtney Cox as well.

We here at CharmFlakes appreciate a feel-good just as much as anyone else. But here in The Queen City, feel-good stories today are tainted with the news that drunk driving convictions are on the rise in North Carolina. According to the lovely Peter Gilchrist, Mecklenburg County D.A., DWI convictions are expected to rise even more. Lawmakers passed new driving under the influence laws in recent years that have limited judges interpretation of the laws and set a stricter tone in court. But while DUI convictions have risen in Charlotte and the region, over in the Research Triangle, they've only risen 31%. But not to fear! Gilchrist thinks 90% of DWI suspects may be convicted under the new laws. Good thing Lohan, Richie, and Paris Hilton haven't made the move to Charlotte, aka 'the new LA.'

Apparently, Victoria Beckham is so rich, she even gets publicity for free. No, honey, I'm not joking. And you won't believe who's talking now. My minions have confirmed over at Glamour magazine that Jennifer Lopez is indeed speaking for both herself and Posh, stating in a recent interview with afore mentioned magazine.

I was just talking about this with Victoria Beckham. Victoria said: ‘People would never guess you’re insecure. Are you? Because I know I am’. It was like she had to hear it from me. And I said: ‘Yeah, of course I am’. She said: ‘But you seem so confident’ and I said: ‘Because I am confident. It doesn’t mean I don’t have my moments. But you have to remember the value of your individuality - that you have something special and different to offer that nobody else can’. Victoria said: ‘Oh. I love hearing this. What you’re saying is so great!’.

Awww. I'm so glad that even celebrities can sound cheesy with empowerment talks. But the truth is, we all feel un-sexy sometimes. While Nicole is all in the news with the details of her upcoming shotgun wedding leaking out all over the web, her arch-nemesis, (Not P. Hilton) Hillary Duff, is in the news for a different reason. According the China Daily, Duff alledgedly strays clear of the 'bloids and blogs ever since her fued a few years ago with another rival, Lindsay Lohan. Duff apparently said, "I try to stay away from the gossip stuff. I used to be obsessed and I just feel like it's so negative." In case you're wondering how such a good-hearted girl like Duff has racked up so many enemies in H-town, it's because women like stealing her men. Lohan alledgedly began dating ex-star Aaron Carter at the same time as Duff, prompting a teenage catfight which helped launch Lohan's place as a tabloid darling. More recently, Nicole Richie scooped up Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden from Duff's clutches, appearing in public with him just three days after Duff's reps confirmed a split. Duff's a nice girl, and we all know that nice girls are a rare commodity in the hills these days, which may be exactly why Hillary Duff has a corner on her market, unlike either Lohan or Richie, who come a dime a dozen these days.

Nicole Richie is preggers and is even set to marry! Nicole, a darling of CharmFlakes, is set to marry boyfriend Joel Madden, from the band Good Charlotte, in a secret ceremony in upcoming weeks.

According to TMZ.com, Nicole is three months pregnant with the MaddenRichie hybrid. It's almost painful to watch, knowing that the kid is gonna end up premature, or breaking Nicole's spine. It takes hips to push a baby, and for that reason, we at CharmFlakes are feeling confident enough to say that this baby is gonna be born by a ceasarion section.

And of course, we all see those articles of InStyle with glamorous parties in the Hamptons where everyones in All-white, and theres no makeup smudges to be found. And then, we've all emulated those same photographs for our next party and thankfully, the candlelight hid the disaster from most of our friends. And then, painfully, we've all been there when you get in your car and look in the mirror to find your foundation ran on you, revealed your true smudgy appearance and ruined your latest purchase from White House/Black Market.

After it all is over with, you swear off makeup for the rest of the summer, but slap it right back on with your now bleached white dress for the trip to Harris Teeter. So how do you keep it all together like a true southern belle? Listen closely. And hide your pc moniter from those conniving broads behind you, lest they learn the secret to flawless summer skin.

First you're gonna need a good base. It's summer, so moisture in the humidity isn't usually a problem. Start with a Primer, (We like PhotoFinish Bronzing Foundation Primer from Smashbox.)
Apply your usual foundation in one shade darker than your skin tone. (We'll explain why later.) Use a damp makeup sponge to help mattify the skin and allow for even coverage, especially if you use the different shade of foundation for a base.
After step 2, you'll notice you probably have some uneven lines that are going to end up as a 'line of demarcation' if you don't eliminate them. Now you'll need to even them with the freshly rinsed sponge free of foundation. Even them by blending downwards toward the neck.
Next you'll need to apply some moisturizer to the dried skin with the makeup sponge. Don't rub or blend. You'll only dab the skin on your cheeks, browbone, nose and chin, just where you want a lil glimmer of light.
Next lightly dust a your usual skintone colored loose powder over the skin, buffing any imperfections and capillaries around the nose, and paying closest attention to your oilest problem zones, (Usually where your makeup runs fastest, or where your most prone to breakouts). On these problem areas, apply another light dusting of the powder.
To finish it off, apply bronzer powder over the skin starting from the outside in. It's a little trick I picked up from a friend, Chris Lanston. You're gonna wanna apply a lil extra where the sun hits most. the cheekbones. The brow, forehead, and the chin. Be sure and do your neck too, you don't wanna look like J.Lo on crack.
The finished product will be a matte face that won't require touchups all through the night. Finish with all your other makeup. This is especially a great canvas for dramatic eye shadow, making a smooth place to play with color. You may want to buy some blotting sheets and carry them in your bag for that 1 break of the night in the powder room.

Now, when you meet your romeo at the next soirree or barbeque, your heart will melt long before your face does. Happy Heat Wave!
